You don't need advice. You need Room To Decide.

That thing that keeps coming up in your mind. There's usually more underneath it than what's on the surface. Let's talk it through, and you'll decide what to do with it. Sometimes that's choosing a direction. Sometimes it's deciding not to do anything yet, or simply to take a single step.

The decision is yours.

This might be for you if...

You keep thinking about something, and talking it through with yourself (or with your AI chatbot) isn't getting you anywhere. It might sound small when you say it out loud, but you can't let it go, because you know there's more to it.You don't have someone neutral to think out loud with. Friends and family have opinions, colleagues have agendas. You're not looking for someone to solve it for you. You just need someone to talk it through with so you can decide what to do.

What to expect

I’ll help you think the situation through, and what you do with our conversation is up to you. I won’t build your plan or hand you an answer.I'm not here to cheer you on or pass judgment. I'm here to be honest with you while you work it out.If what surfaces turns out to be bigger than a decision - something a therapist is the right person for - I'll tell you, and point you toward the right kind of support. This isn't therapy.

What a session actually looks like

We start with whatever's on your mind. No prep required, just bring it as it is.Most of the time is spent in conversation. I'll ask questions, reflect back what I'm hearing, and sometimes push or offer a perspective if I think it will help you see something. You do most of the talking and all of the deciding. Anything I offer is a perspective to consider, not an answer to follow.By the end, you'll usually see what's actually underlying the thing you came in with, and what a real next step looks like, even if that step is small, or it's deciding not to do anything about it for a while longer.45–50 minutes, one conversation at a time.

Why me

Hi, I'm Amy - the person you'll be talking to.For 20+ years, my work has centered on risk, but the real job has never been the paperwork. It's teaching people to use good judgment. Helping them read between the lines, see the whole story instead of just what's on the page, and understand the why behind a judgment call, not just the call itself.I co-founded and operated a business, built from the ground up. As founders, we had responsibility for everything - no support, no outside structure to lean on, and the outcome of every decision belonged to us. I know what it's like to be faced with a consequential decision with real weight behind it, and no mentor or impartial sounding board to help think it through.People already come to me to think things through, not for the answer, but because I ask the questions that help them see what they haven't said out loud yet. This work draws on all of it - judgment, the ability to see past the surface, and knowing what it takes to think clearly when something actually matters.

FAQ

Is this therapy?

No. If something comes up that's better suited for a therapist, I'll tell you, and point you toward the right kind of support.

What should I bring?

Nothing prepared - just whatever's actually on your mind. No need to explain the backstory perfectly.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. With less notice, or if you miss the session, it's forfeited and not refunded. If I need to cancel or reschedule, I'll offer you a new time or a refund.

Is this confidential?

I treat what you share as confidential. I don't share it except as needed to run my business, when the law requires it, in anonymized form, or if I believe someone is in serious danger. It isn't legally privileged the way therapy or law is, so if that level of protection matters for your situation, it's worth factoring in. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Will you use what I share in your content?

I may share general themes, examples and case studies from my work, with names and identifying details removed or changed. If you'd rather nothing from your sessions be used, even anonymized, just tell me and I won't.

Who is this for?

Room To Decide is for adults 21 years and older.
